It has successfully developed 98 percent single-layer graphene through its proprietary process and manufacturing methods, paving the way for graphene-based electrodes and a proprietary non-flammable electrolyte.
Using Nanotech’s single-layer graphene in a battery cell improves efficiency. Acting as a good conductor of electricity, it allows for better anode-cathode coatings and integration of other materials within the battery.
These batteries can be customized to fit any form factor or container, eliminating the need for manufacturers to redesign existing products or compromise on new designs. The non-flammable battery packs are suitable for various applications, including electric vehicles, bicycles, consumer electronics, military equipment, and other electrified devices.

This eliminates the need for expensive flame suppressant systems. For instance, its non-flammable battery technology entirely reduces fire risk, enabling data centers to increase capacity and reduce maintenance expenditure.

The single-layer graphene is developed on an industrial scale using Nanotech Energy’s in-house, semi-automatic graphene manufacturing process, overseen by a team of engineers and developers, who can formulate the process to meet the specific needs of customers.
The advantage of single-layer graphene is that less additive is needed to make superconductive products, resulting in better physical properties and adhesion.
Nanotech Energy’s graphene-based products extend beyond batteries and include thin conductive coatings, inks, adhesives, and other materials.
It currently manufactures many tons of graphene per year and is planning to build a facility that will increase its production capability by 50 to 100 times. Focusing on producing American-made batteries using local sources and the benefits of graphene will help Nanotech Energy create a local market. It is in talks with government entities in UK to secure offtake agreements and explore opportunities in other regions like Greece and Germany.
